RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gov. Terry McAuliffe says he's replacing five members of the Virginia Port Authority Board of Commissioners. The new Democratic government says he's overhauling the board in a bid to improve the authority's fiscal management and return it profitability.

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - A Harrisonburg man has pleaded guilty to mail fraud and wire fraud in federal court, that after being accused of bilking investors out of more than $1 million. Paul Souder entered his plea Wednesday in U.S> District Court in Harrisonburg.

NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (AP) - An emergency official says two Washington & Lee University students survived a night of below-freezing temperatures after they became lost while hiking in the James River Face Wilderness. Searchers found the two students before dawn Thursday in a field of boulders called Devil's Marbleyard.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The world's leading supplier and processor of leaf tobacco is venturing beyond the cash crop into the food business. Richmond, Va.-based Universal Corp. is opening a new juice and dehydration facility in North Carolina that will initially focus on sweet potatoes.
