Former Fayette County coach sentenced on drug charges

FAYETTEVILLE, W. Va. (WVNS)- A former football coach and teacher in Fayette County has been sentenced on drug charges. 

Larry McCommack was arrested in April 2017 by Fayette County deputies after he was caught during controlled drug buys by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force. 

McCommack was a football coach and teacher at Valley High school in Fayette County.

According to court documents, on February 5, 2018 McCommack was sentenced 2-10 years in prison, but his sentenced was suspended and he was placed on probation. He will spend 60 months under the Fayette County Probation Office.
