UPDATE: Oak Hill Police extends application deadline

9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 UPDATE:

People who are looking to join the police force in Oak Hill have a little more time to get their applications in.  The previous deadline was Feb. 9, however, due to the recent bad weather, the deadline has been moved to Friday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.

The physical ability test will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Oak Hill Police Department  Applications can be picked up at the locations below or online.


OAK HILL, WV (WVNS) -- The City of Oak Hill announced on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 that they are looking for new police officers.  Applications can be picked up online or from two locations in the city.  Those are as follows:

Applications can be submitted at either of the physical locations or by sending an email to jrpack@ohpd.us.  The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2018.  

Applicants will be required to take a physical ability test at the Oak Hill Police Department on Feb. 10, 2018.  They should show up at 10 a.m. and be wearing proper attire for running, push ups and sit ups.  Anyone with questions can contact Sgt. J.R. Pack at 304-465-0596 ext 208.
