The Greenbrier hosts Apprentice Day

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVNS) -- On Friday, February 9th, 2018,  a group of kids got some real-world experience and learned a little bit about the working world.

The Greenbrier Resort hosted more than 30 kids for Apprentice Day. A program giving students a look into the different jobs available right in their community. Children got to choose from 5 different programs they would like to shadow.

Apprentice Day Founder and President Christina Entenmann said this is a great way to give youth hands-on experience in the work force.

"This opportunity lets kids get out of the classroom and work hands on in the workforce. It gives them networking opportunities."

The Apprentice Day program is a non-profit organization, and open to kids ages six to 18.
