Four accused of breaking into home, attacking homeowners on New Year's Day

CARETTA, W. Va. (WVNS) -- Four people are accused of breaking into a home and attacking the homeowners in McDowell County on New Year's Day. 

Troopers with the West Virginia State Police detachment in Welch said they responded to an assault call at a home in Caretta on January 1, 2018. 

When troopers arrived, the victims said four people broke into their home and attacked them. Troopers report the victims had severe bruises and cuts to their face.  They said the home's door frame was also busted. 

Two of the four suspects have been arrested.  Roger Brandon Christian and Misty Marie Odom are charged with burglary, conspiracy and unlawful assault.  Troopers have obtained warrants for the other two involved. 

Christian and Odom are in the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
