Local Tourist Attractions Are Hiring In Beckley

The Exhibition Coal Mine and Beckley Youth Museum are looking for employees. Their season starts April 1, 2018, so they are looking to hire prior to this date. They are looking for around 9 to 10 people for a variety of positions, such as tour guides, clerks in their gift shops, maintenance people and grounds keepers. You must have a valid drivers license, and submit to a drug screening and a background check through the city of Beckley.

"One of the qualifications is to be a real people person. We deal with people, doesn't matter whether you're a groundskeeper or your actually going to be a tour guide, we have to relate to people everyday. We are the face of Beckley for thousands of people that come through here.  We see usually people not from around here and so we want to give a really good impression, so we have to have happy smiling faces and people who really like to interact with visitors," Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Beckley, Leslie Baker, said.

You can pick up and drop off applications at the Youth Museum or Exhibition Coal Mine anytime between February 12 through February 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
