Convicted drug offender found with multiple narcotics and a gun during traffic stop


HINTON, W. Va. (WVNS)-- A convicted drug offender faces new drug charges after a traffic stop Saturday night.

On December 9, 2017 a Hinton police officer pulled William Snow over after watching his car swerve on the roadway on Temple Street in Hinton. 

Snow told the officer he had a pistol on his hip, and drugs under his seat.

During a search of Snow's car the officer said he found crystal meth, 26 pills of Hydrocodone, a strip of Suboxone, Tramadol, Buprenorphrine, Clonzepam, Methylphenidate, Oxycodone.

The officer also found $748.00 in cash along with plastic baggies and two scales. 

Snow told the officer he did not have prescriptions for some of the narcotics, and would sell the drugs to fund his drug habit. 

Court documents state Snow was convicted in 2005 for delivery of a controlled substance. 

Snow faces possession with intent to deliver, possession of deadly weapon by convicted felon and failure to maintain control of vehicle.
