Pat Copley was first introduced to crossbow shooting at an event in 1994.
She tried it once and was immediately sold.
"It's fun," Copley says, "I've met good people and we have good friends in Germany that we have shot with."
But it's more than a hobby.
She meets people all over the world.
In fact, she's been to Taiwan, Hungary and New Zealand while competing on National Teams for the United States.
Now, she's looking to shoot her way onto the 2005 team and compete in Perth, Australia.
She'd be one of three ladies on the team.
Copley says "Well as long as I can place on the National Team then I'll continue to do it I really enjoy it and meeting people from all over the world."
When she pulls the trigger one last time one day, she plans on helping the next generation accomplish what she's mastered.
Pat Copley says "If nothing else I would like to maybe coach or something maybe help the younger shooters."
Copley will travel to Pennsylvania next month to compete in the Eastern Nationals.
