Services held for 37-year-old Stanley Reynolds.
Story by Adam Baker
PRINCETON -- Family and friends of a Mercer County solider killed in Iraq earlier this month gathered at a Princeton funeral home on Sunday to say their goodbyes.
Services were held for 37-year-old Stanley Reynolds. He's originally from Lashmeet and joined the Army six years ago.
He spent most of his time stationed at Fort Wainwright in Alaska. Three weeks ago he died in the line of duty when his helicopter crashed in Iraq. Sunday services were dedicated to his fight for freedom.
"People like Staff Sgt. Reynolds, they volunteer to put their on the line for you, me, everyone else and they payed with their lives so I can continue to be free today and everyone else can too," said Joe Cumblidge with the Patriot Guard Riders.
The soldier leaves behind his wife, three daughters and many other family members.
