BECKLEY- -- Sheriff's deputies in Raleigh County spent Friday working on the case of a man who jumped form a bridge.
Gregory White, 40, of Dunn, North Carolina attempted a BASE jump from the Piney Creek Bridge this afternoon.
He broke his leg and was taken to Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
White is being charged with walking on an access highway.
The National Park Service may issue additional charges.
The only legal BASE jump in West Virginia is from the New River Gorge Bridge on Bridge Day.
