Tazewell -- Hundreds filled the streets in Tazewell County Saturday.
They hoped to put a halt to what some call an increasing drug problem in the area.
It was all part of the first Christians and Concerned Citizens for a Drug Free Tazewell County Anti-drug march and rally.
Organizers say 80-percent of crimes in Tazewell County are driven by narcotics additions -- the most serious involving oxycontin and methadone. It's an ongoing problem people there say must stop.
"God loves them, and so do we. There's hope, they can change. And, for those who are bound by that they can be freed from it," said March Coordinator Pastor Steven Branch.
Anyone who would like to get involved with the outreach program OR who needs help can visit their website, www.hisnetworks.info.
Community members will also gather on Thursday for a National Day of Prayer. That event will get started at 7 o'clock at the Methodist Church on Main Street in Tazewell.
