Hospitals in search of more workers.
By Jessica Lilly
BECKLEY- -- Many graduates are struggling to get jobs, but nursing students are in high demand. Health care officials say that's because they can't find enough nurses to fill all the open positions.
Officials say several factors have played a role in the shortage.
Nurses say the the demanding schedules have caused people to look somewhere else for work.
But local institutions like Mountain State University are being proactive to try and pump out more qualified nurses.
Local medical facilities are also working to tackle the issue.
Just this month local hospitals met with education facilities to voice the need.
Hospitals are also trying to create more attractive benefit packages.
