A development company is throwing more punches in the fight to build luxury homes along the rim of the New River Gorge.

Atlanta-based Land Resource re-applied to get 43-hundred acres along the gorge rezoned in Fayette County.
Despite opposition, the company says it's Roaring River Development plan will have a 1-point-9 million dollar impact on the community -- and bring jobs.
The company also says this development will actually help preserve the surrounding land.
"That land will be preserved for future generations with regards to what it looks like today," says Tom Wagner with Roaring River Development. "What our plan is is for it to look like that ten years from today and 20 years from today. Along with that, there's a huge economic impact, so we'll be able to provide, hopefully, employment for the residents of Fayette County for years to come."
The company says it has taken into consideration several sensitive issues including storm water management, transportation, and even the indigenous bat population.
