Dr. Roy Gomez is charged with rape.

RICHLANDS -- A Tazewell County Doctor is still behind bars.

Dr. Roy Gomez is still being held at the Southwest Regional Jail in Tazewell.

Gomez was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with forcible rape.

His arraignment will be held Friday.

A separate federal investigation has surfaced.

It is unrelated to the rape incident.

This investigation includes the IRS and US Attorney General.
