The concept works similar to speed dating.
Story by Alicia Suka
BECKLEY- -- You've probably heard of speed-dating but what about speed-networking?
A career fair matched potential employers with applicants Tuesday but only for a few minutes.
The job search event was hosted at Mountain State University.
It was open to students and the public.
Several companies participated representing the health care field, service industry and tourism.
Each applicant spent only three minutes with a company.
A whistle would sound and they would switch to the next employer.
This is the second year for the Speed-Network event.
Organizers say it landed 18 participants with jobs last year.
28 were selected for full-length interviews.
