The purpose of the workshop is to train people on working with children after abuse.

By Rontina McCann

ATHENS- -- A workshop is going on to train the people who work with children during traumatic times.

At Concord University social workers, Child Protect and law enforcement officers are trading ideas and learning new trends in child abuse and neglect.

Organizers say it's important to gather everyone together for training to better serve the community.

The seminar continues through the afternoon.
