What a year it was, and it all came to an end last night in Homestead, Florida.
Jimmie Johnson did something that only Cale Yarborough has been able to do, win three championships in a row. All Jimmie had to do was stay out of trouble on Sunday, and he did just that. Congrats to Johnson, he proved he was the best. The big question, can he make it four in a row next year?
As for the Garfield's Inside Track Challenge, congratulations go out to The Amp Man - John Bonner. John, Louise Braddock and Bob Blankenship battled until the very end, with Bonner edging Louise by a mere 8 points. For his efforts, John gets two race tickets to next year's Daytona 500. Good John Amp Man. I finished fourth. Like I said when I was in 32nd place, it was a marathon. Incidentally, I beat Grayson by 199 points.
The final winner of the season is Dusty Jack of Buckhannon. All of his drivers finished in the top ten, first, 3rd, 7th and 8th. A great finish for Dusty, and a great finish to the game.
As we end the season, I want to thank everyone for participating, and also for putting up with me all year long. It was fun, and hopefully we'll do it again. For the final time, this is Dave Stingo for Inside Track.
