According to the Autism Society of America, one and a half million Americans are living with the disorder. Now, people who in Raleigh County are trying to raise awareness.

BECKLEY- -- The second annual Beckley Walk for Autism will be held later this month. And, this year, all of the proceeds will stay in Raleigh County.
Last year the walk raised over four thousand dollars for autism research at Marshall University.
This year's proceeds will go to the Autism Recovery Resource Center, which is located at the Beckley Medical Arts Building.
The ARRC offers training and support for families or patients effected by autism.
People who would like to participate pay $15 and will then walk a five k. Donations are also being accepted.
The walk will be held on Saturday, April 25th at the Bobby Pruett Stadium at Park Middle School.
Registration will get started at 8 thirty in the morning, and the walk will begin at 9:30. For more information on how to get involved you can contact Park Middle School.
