Second Steps Program Kicks Off In Raleigh County

Second Steps teaches kids life skills.

BECKLEY- -- Headstart students in Raleigh County will soon be learning to take their "Second Steps."

Second Steps is a program designed to teach students about empathy, problem solving and how to deal with their emotions.

This social and emotional learning program uses hands-on, activity-based lessons to captivate young learners.

Councilman Lee Leftwich was on hand to help kick off this program today at the Headstart Center in Beckley.
