LINDSIDE --  An advertisement that once promoted tobacco will soon encourage tobacco users to quit.

This barn in Monroe County used to have a mail pouch tobacco slogan painted on the side.

Years later the slogan has been removed, and the Southern Coalfields Tobacco Prevention Network decided they would use the same barn to promote an anti-tobacco campaign.

"A mail pouch is an icon across the country. Everybody knows what a mail pouch barn is. My understanding, they are not trying to boot out the mail pouch barns. This is a great idea for getting kind of a new word out," said artist Scott Hagain.

Hagan has spent several hours repainting the barn dark grey.

The tobacco quit line slogan will be painted on the side and front of the barn.

It is expected to be complete by 3 p.m. Friday for the big reveal.
