Meth Lab Bust in Greenbrier County
Posted Wednesday, July 8, 2009 ; 09:22 AM | View Comments | Post Comment

Charges could be pending.

RONCEVERTE -- The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department says it uncovered a meth lab run out of a home in Ronceverte.

Deputies say after receiving several tips, they secured a search warrant for the home on Rush Avenue.

No one was in the home at the time of the search and no arrests have been made yet, but Sheriff Jim Childers says several arrests are expected.

Investigators say they recovered evidence and samples that indicate there had been a meth lab in the home. A meth clean-up crew was called in to safely remove chemical waste.

The Greenbrier Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force was assisted in the investigation by the Ronceverte Police and Fire Departments, the Lewisburg Fire Department, Greenbrier County Emergency Management Agency, WV State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the WV Regional Response team.
