BECKLEY -- Wyoming County native, Christy Martin, visited Beckley just a week before a match.

Martin or "The Coal Miner's Daughter," greeted fans, friends, and family at Macado's for a welcome home party.

She says there is no place like West Virginia.

"I know what it is to work hard and uh I never forgot where I came from. I love West Virginia. I am very proud to be the Coal Miner's Daughter and I'm just happy to be home, said Martin.

Martin has a scheduled Match on August 1. It starts at 7 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Field House in Huntington.
