Freddy Holliday's family celebrated his $1 million victory by watching the finale together.
A former Charleston resident finally gets to share his secret with the world: He and his finacee won $1 million.
Freddy Holliday and Kendra Bentley won the latest installment of the Amazing Race. The finale was broadcast Tuesday night on CBS. Holliday, a pilot and model, is originally from Charleston but now lives in Miami with Bentley.
Holliday's family gathered in Charleston Tuesday night to watch Holiday and Bentley arrive first at Chicago's Ping Tom Memorial Park and claim the $1 million prize.
They beat 10 other teams to win the grand prize after covering four continents, 24 cities and 40,000 miles in a race around the world.
"Thirty days, 40,000 miles -- I lost 15 pounds, and I probably had less than 30 hours of sleep," Holliday told The Associated Press. "It was brutal."
Holliday's brothers said they couldn't be more excited.
Holliday, 34, and Bentley, 25, received their check Wednesday morning on CBS' "The Early Show."
