Intervention program is set to begin next month.

BECKLEY -- Training at Raleigh General Hospital continues to prepare for its new cardiac intervention program.
A training bus travels the country helping to give the medical staff hands-on training with equipment and supplies.
The machine simulates typical cardiac problems like acute heart attacks or blocked stints.
"If we have a person that comes in with a blockage in the heart we have to transfer that patient to another hospital. What's going to happen once our program is up is now we'll be able to treat those patients there at Raleigh General Hospital," said Ronni Pettiford, RGH Cardiac and Pulmonary Services Director.
The simulation bus wrapped up a two day training session at Raleigh General Wednesday.
The hospital's cardiac intervention program is set to start at the end of October.
This will enable Raleigh General to perform balloon angioplasty on site.
