Workforce West Virginia trys to bring employers and applicants together in Hinton.

HINTON -- Job skills were the focus of a gathering in Summers County Friday.
The Technology Center in Hinton set the stage for a Job & Career Fair in the Summers County Seat. WorkForce West Virginia is the driving force behind the event. A staffer with the agency's office in Summers County says goal is to inform the community about the availability of resources in the area.
"It's very important to network and to try and get as many leads and get your name out there as much as possible because you never know who knows somebody else who might be looking for what your experience is," said Rita Vigil, Career Center Coordinator for WorkForce West Virginia's Hinton office.
Community resources are in place to help people make successful job and career connections. she added.
Employers from a wide range of businesses and government agencies were on hand to take applications and answer questions. Vigil said WorkForce West Virginia's staff wants to help people make successful job and career connections.
