Glade Springs Resort hosted Judicial Conference.

By Kate Krivanek

DANIELS --  Judges and Justices from throughout the state met under one roof to brainstorm.

It was a mix of representatives from the Supreme Court of Appeals and the West Virginia Judicial Association. Glade Springs Resort was the backdrop for the bi-annual meeting of the minds.

The Judicial Conference continues through Friday, Oct.16.

Mercer County Circuit Judge, Omar Aboulhosn, said it's a great way to compare notes.

"It is kind of beneficial to hear how other judges are doing things. Maybe I'm doing it a little differently than they are. I hear some way someone else is doing it, I think it might benefit me, I might change the way I do things," says Aboulhosn.

A variety of speakers addressed current Supreme Court cases, changes in the law and the court system.
