BEAVER -- A mock chemical spill in Raleigh County brought first-responders, health professionals and business leaders together Friday.
It's called a table-top exercise and it required participants to work together to best resolve an emergency situations.
It was held at the Department of Agriculture Research Center in Beaver.
The mock chemical spill targeted the area between Eisenhower Drive and Stanaford Road in Beckley near Woodrow Wilson High School.
Organizers said that's an emergency "hot spot" because there's a hospital, a school and several other businesses.
"It just makes it very sensitive area for something like this to happen and it could very well happen in that area," said Mark Wilson, Raleigh County Emergency Management Planner.
First responders gather on a regular basis to discuss possible emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.
Organizers said it creates a strong partnership between all of the groups involved.
