RONCEVERTE -- A Greenbrier County man is out on bond after a stabbing that happened over the weekend.
Ronceverte City Police Officers arrested Adam Crookshanks, 27, of Ronceverte. Investigators said he stabbed another man 4 times, including 2 wounds to the victims face.
It happened at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning at a home on Pocahontas Avenue.
According to police Crookshanks had been waiting outside his wife’s home. He hadn’t lived in the house in over 30 days.
When Crookshanks saw his wife inside with another man he kicked down the door and assaulted the victim with a steak knife.
The suspect fled on foot, into a wooded-area, when police arrived. He gave himself up when he overheard that a tracking dog was being brought in.
Crookshanks is charged malicious wounding and is out on $15,000 bond, according to police. Police haven’t ruled out adding additional charges.
The victim was reportedly treated and released from Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
