BLUEFIELD, Va. -- Schools in Tazewell County are offering H1N1 vaccines this week.
Graham High School in Bluefield, Va., will begin to disperse the vaccinations on Wednesday. The school sent home letters to parents on Mondays urging them to consider taking this voluntary measure. At one point, 200 students were home sick from school this year.
So far, roughly 40 students have tested positive for H1N1 flu this fall term.
While there are both nasal mists and shots that combat H1N1, the school will only be using the mist variety.
The vaccines are free for Virginia students.
