WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -- A dream home came to life in Greenbrier County.
Through the collaborative efforts of several groups, a $3 million mansion hit the market Friday. Nestled among the autumn leaves on the crest of a mountain in White Sulphur Springs, you'll find a mix of tradition with a contemporary twist.
This home is the hard work of Chateaux Interiors, out of Beckley, West Virginia Living magazine, and Ann Bell and Company Fine Homes and Country Properties.
It's located in The Summit at the Greenbrier Sporting Club.
The home started as a blank canvas.
The owners willingly granted permission to these groups to work some magic.
The project got started back in July.
It's being used as designer showcase for the winter edition of the West Virginia Living magazine.
Those involved say it's all about thinking outside the box.
"My mission was to change the stereotypes of what people have of West Virginia, but also to change how we look at ourselves. Because as West Virginians, you know, we tend to also have these stereotypes. We need to think a little differently," said Nikki Bowman, Publisher of West Virginia Living Magazine.
From a 16-foot Christmas tree in the living room to an outdoor fireplace, this home showcases a touch of creativity from all those involved.
Visitors got glimpse of the home at an open house Friday night.
