Deputies say the early morning crash happened on Route 10 near Cyclone.

PINEVILLE -- Wyoming County Sheriff's deputies said David Ray, 41, Hearnes of Westville, North Carolina lost control of his car on Route 10 near Cyclone.

The accident happened Monday around 2:20 a.m.

Investigators say Hearnes' car hit a culvert and flipped over. Hearnes was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other cars were involved.
