Country artist will headline YMCA's Friends of Coal Auto Fair concert.

BECKLEY -- Beckley YMCA officials announced today that country artist, Charlie Daniels, will return to the Friends of Coal Auto Fair stage in summer 2010.

Jay Rist, the vice president of marketing for the Y, said Daniels was the most popular performer they've had at the fair.

"He puts on a wonderful show and he has a great time coming to Beckley. I'm sure he's excited to come back." said Rist.

Daniels performed at the auto fair in 2006.

The auto fair happens each July at the Y soccer complex in Beckley.

In addition, Rist said construction will begin in May on a renovation project at the Y. A new workout area, a therapy pool and pre-K facility will be built.

The work is expected to be complete by fall 2010.
