Five People are Hurt in Two Separate Accidents in McDowell County

Two were flown to CAMC, the other three were taken to Welch Emergency Hospital.

WELCH --  Emergency dispatchers said two people were flown to CAMC after an SUV they were in flipped into a creek.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday on Route 103, just outside of Gary.

A third person in the car was taken to Welch Emergency Hospital for treatment.

West Virginia State Police are investigating.

Earlier on Friday, a car rolled on Route 52 between Laeger and Roderfield.

McDowell County deputies are investigating that accident.

Deputies said it happened around 11 a.m.

Two people in the car were taken to Welch Emergency Hospital.

The names of those involved in the accidents have not been released.
