MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia University Coliseum got rid of some seats Monday afternoon.
It's part of an initiative by the student athletic booster club, the Mountaineer Maniacs, to bring a new experience this basketball season.
Workers have removed all of the seats in the lower student section, turning it into a standing-room only section to be called the "Maniac Madhouse."
Student leaders say the section will provide high energy and intensity at games and a lot of support for the team.
The men's basketball team will take on Loyola in the home opener Sunday, Nov. 15.
