GLEN JEAN -- The Boy Scouts of America will reveal plans for a new facility being developed near the New River Gorge.
The 10,600 acre camp will be located between Glen Jean, Prince and Mount Hope. Officials with the Boy Scouts say this site will help fulfill the organization's mission of serving America's youth for another 100 years.
The announcement will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Glen Jean Armed Forces Reserve Center. The event will begin at 11 a.m.
Scouts and executive committee members of the BSA will be joined by Gov. Manchin; New River Gorge National River Superintendent, Don Striker; Fayette County Commissioner Matt Wender and Stephen D. Bechtel, Jr.
Bechtel made the camp possible by donating $50 million from his foundation for this facility.
