Amedisys Home Health of West Virginia celebrated open house event.

By Kate Krivanek

BECKLEY --  A Raleigh County business, dedicated to home health care, opened it's doors to the community.

Friday, Amedisys Home Health of West Virginia in Beckley welcomed Mayor Emmett Pugh for both an open house and a proclamation ceremony. This is the second year Mayor Pugh has joined the group for the declaration of National Home Care Month.

"We appreciate the work that they do here. And there's a lot of home health care agencies in and around the city of Beckley. And like I said, our populous needs that kind of care. They help provide it. They provide it in a good way," said Pugh.

The American Red Cross blood mobile set up shop in the Amedisys parking lot for employees and community members to perpetuate the message of giving.
