CHARLESTON -- It's been a busy four days at Gander Mountain in Charleston because many area hunters are still getting ready for deer gun season.
"They've been trying to get their rifles ready, making sure they have ammunition, any other supplies they need, slings as far as your cover scents," said Michael Bennett, hunting and firearms manager at Gander Mountain in Charleston.
Bennett said the top last minute seller is ammunition. For Timothy Adams of Lincoln County, ammunition and camouflage pants were on his hunting supply list for good reason. "I outgrew it," he said.
Besides ammunition and camo stuff, Junior Richmond, of Wyoming County, iadded rain gear to his shopping cart of needed hunting supplies.
"We're just updating our stuff more or less. They got newer stuff out this year, so we're going with the updated stuff," he said.
Many, however, are ready for the season that gives them a chance to get away from the worries of the world.
"It's relaxing, sitting and waiting. Work all the time just peaceful and quiet. Just sit there and wait. He'll come through there," Richmond said.
