CHARLESTON -- A Thanksgiving tradition in Charleston continued Thursday feeding hundreds of people.

More than 100 volunteers worked together to cook and serve the Frank Veltri feast.

Most of the food was served to people in the community who couldn't come out of their homes to eat.

But for those who met at the church on Thanksgiving Day, it was a chance to enjoy good food with a different kind of family.

"It seems like we are their family," said volunteer Edward Goins. "I'm thankful to be part of this family."

Frank Veltri passed away in 2001 but since then his family and volunteers have kept his mission alive.
