Jarrod Martin replaces Mary Goebel as the new Director for the Children's Home Society.

By Kate Krivanek

DANIELS --  The Children's Home Society announced the new Raleigh County Director for the Beckley EYES Shelter.

Jarrod Martin has been named the Director for the Exceptional Youth Emergency Shelter in Daniels, replacing Mary Goebel. The formal announcement was made at the third annual First Tracks for Children fundraiser Friday evening at the Mountaineer Conference Center on Harper Road in Beckley.

"When I interviewed for the position the CEO of the company asked me how I felt about asking strangers for money. I told him that I was going to ask him for five bucks at the end of the interview. So really, with the proper funding we can do a lot more than what we're doing right now," said Jarrod Martin, EYES Director.

The Children's Home Society is a non-profit child welfare organization that provides services to more than 6,400 kids each year.
