The WVU men's basketball had to stay in New York an extra night due to the weather on Saturday after its game against St. John’s. The Mountaineers were down at halftime by 11 and came back in the second half to beat the Red Storm by 19 points.
WVU's Da' Sean Butler hit seven three-point shots to tie a Big East record and scoring a season-high 33 points.
Butler scored a career high 43 points against Villanova last year, interesting to note that will be West Virginia's next opponent.
The Mountaineers will host the Wildcats on Monday night for a 7 p.m. tip off.
WVU is the in the middle of a four game stretch in just nine days but guys like Butler and Devin Ebanks say they are handling it just fine.
