Big East Champion Mountaineers to Return to Morgantown Sunday

Fans are expected to meet the team at the airport and the Coliseum.

CLARKSBURG -- After winning the Big East Conference Tournament Championship, Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, the West Virginia University men's basketball team will return to the Mountain State on Sunday.

The Mountaineers are set to arrive at the North Central West Virginia Airport, in Bridgeport, at 1:30 p.m.

The airport has invited fans to greet the team there.

The team will then head to the WVU Coliseum, in Morgantown, where more fans are expected to greet the them.

WVU defeated Georgetown 60-58 to claim its first Big East Championship.
