Small Fires Reported in Morgantown After WVU Basketball Win

No injuries were reported.

MORGANTOWN -- A number of small fires were reported around Morgantown, Saturday night and early Sunday morning, after the West Virginia University men's basketball team won the Big East Tournament Championship.

Eight dumpster fires were reported, according to MECCA 911 officials.

Between six and a dozen smaller trash fires were also reported, officials said.

The majority of the fires were in the Sunnyside area of town, according to 911 officials.

The fires were called in between 11:25 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

There were no reports of any injuries.

There is no word yet on any arrests.
