Warm temperatures are celebrated by locals during first day of spring.

BECKLEY -- Today marks the official start of spring. It appears as if Mother Nature hit the nail on the head.
Lucy Hanshew took advantage of the warm weather to get out of the house.
“I’m loving this, after I shoveled snow all winter long I’m really enjoying this,” said Hanshew.
She wasn’t alone. Temperatures in Beckley reached the high 60s. That was enough to cause Albert Olivier to celebrate.
“Warm and sunny, that’s the way it should be all the time,” said Olivier. |
