59 News has confirmed that Randal McCloy was moved to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh Thursday.
West Virginia University's Ruby Memorial Hospital does not have a hyperbaric chamber for McCloy's lungs, and doctors feel this may help his condition.
Doctors say they are seeing slight improvements in McCloy's other organs, including his kidneys and liver.
That gives them hope that McCloy is still on the road to a successful recovery.
"We say slight, we need to say it is slight," says Doctor John Prescott, dean of the WVU School of Medicine. "Some of the body functions seem to be improving in his pulmonary functions, the way his lungs are working, we've seen some improvement also with the way his kidneys are functioning, some improvement with his heart functioning, and some improvement with his liver."
Doctor Prescott says they've been examining McCloy's neurological system by testing his reflexes.
