SOPHIA -

Police are asking for the public's health tracking down a suspected arsonist.

Investigators said the fire that happened Oct. 11 along West Main Street in Sophia was suspicious.

lSeveral people were rescued from the blaze that started in a hallway between Unique Antique and A Place to Heal Wellness Center, and it is the location of the fire that led fire marshals to believe this was arson.

"Whether the arsonist knew people were in the building or not people could have been killed," said Connie Mills with CrimeStoppers.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 304-255-STOP or the Arson Hotline at 800-233-FIRE.

You can remain anonymous and if your tips lead to an arrest and conviction you could receive up to $1,000.
