The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Greenbrier County has announced that Cabinet Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Education Kay Goodwin will deliver the school's 35th commencement ceremony.
In an effort to step into someone else's shoes WVNS-TV's evening news anchor, Lauren Weppler, is performing various jobs around the community.
Tuesday, Oct. 11 Weppler was trading places in Lewisburg at TOOT, Taste of our Town with Stuart from Stuart's Smokehouse. This week she is using her broadcast skills to try a job out in the world of radio.
Weppler started her day bright and early at 7 a.m. at STAR 95 in Princeton, with L.T. Schoonover and Lee Summers who are the talent for the morning show.
Schoonover and Summers taught Weppler how to take listeners phone calls and learn how to operate the board.
Schoonover said they have a lot of fun joking with one another and having the local flavor of the Mercer County callers.
Weppler will be trading places next week at a spook house in Raleigh County.
