Greenbrier Classic Releases Record-Breaking Numbers

The official numbers are in for the second annual PGA Tour, FedEx Cup Greenbrier Classic.

According to officials with The Greenbrier more than 213,000 people walked through the gates of The Old White Course over the Monday-Sunday period.

On Monday more than 12,400 people attended the classic, Tuesday 15,700, Wednesday 22,200, Thursday 30,100, Friday 40,100, Saturday 46,200 and on Sunday more than 47,100 people lined the grounds for the final round.

The 2011 Greenbrier Classic Concert Series was another big draw for guests. Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan's concert brought in 43,000 spectators. Friday's Black Eyed Peas concert had 56,000 screaming fans. The classic's biggest concert was the Saturday concert of Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban with a record-breaking 59,000 guests.

The Greenbrier Classic and its concert series has grown to be the largest week-long event in West Virginia.
