Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Courtney Clark is the morning and noon anchor for 59 News. She joined the WVNS news team as a reporter in April 2010. Courtney comes to us from The Register-Herald in Beckley, where she got her start in Journalism in 2009. She is a graduate of Concord University, where she earned degrees in English and Journalism.
