There is only one blemish on Virginia Tech's 11-1 record, and it belongs to the Clemson Tigers. The Tigers handed a 23-3 beating to the team in Lane Stadium in early October. Since then, Tech has improved while Clemson has faltered. The Hokies won the remainder of their contests. The Tigers won their first eight games before going 1-3 in their last four matches in the regular season.
It's been a team effort for Virginia Tech. Running back David Wilson was named the player of the year in the ACC. The defense is allowing less than 16 points per game. That number is good enough for seventh in the nation. The two will duel in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium for a BCS berth. The game is slated for Saturday, December 3 at 8:00 p.m.
