It took a loss before sophomore quarterback Logan Thomas could really shine. Early in the year, Thomas led the Hokies to a 4-0 start, while throwing just four touchdowns and three interceptions. Against Clemson, he wasn't able to record any scores and added an interception.
Since the loss, Thomas has settled down. Virginia Tech won the final seven games and Thomas has thrown 14 touchdowns to go along with just two interceptions. During that span, he's also rushed for another nine scores. Thomas will lead the Hokies into the ACC Championship Game, against Clemson, on Saturday, December 3 at 8:00 p.m.
